Fort Collins Information

Located on the Cache La Poudre River in eastern Colorado, Fort Collins is the state’s fifth most populous city and home to Colorado State University, the city’s largest employer. Many high-tech companies have relocated to Fort Collins because of the university’s research facilities. Intel, AMD, Avago, Beckman Coulter, National Semiconductor, LSI, and Pelco all have offices in Fort Collins. Other industries include clean energy, bioscience, and agri-tech businesses.

Fort Collins has a strong manufacturing base and is home to such firms as Hewlett Packard, Woodward Governor, and Anheuser-Busch. Some of the city’s other top employers are Poudre Valley Health Systems, Poudre School District, Agilent, the City of Fort Collins, Eastman Kodak, and Walmart.
